NWRA Launches Legislative Alert Program

The National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) has launched a new program for its members through which it continually keeps them abreast of the progress on any auto glass-related legislation that arises in the United States.

The program, a joint effort with the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC), began in early April. Since then, the NWRA has sent out more than 20 legislative alerts about bills related to auto glass across the country, on topics ranging from windshield inspection legislation to insurance legislation that is related to auto glass.

The alerts are sent as emails to all NWRA members and are posted on the NWRA website as well in a special legislative section. The alerts are sent out when an auto glass-related bill is filed and then further alerts are sent out as a bill progresses through the legislature.

“We are happy to be able to offer this service to our members,” says NWRA president Troy Mason of Techna Glass Inc. in South Jordan, Utah. “We hope our members will share their thoughts on how the legislation will affect their businesses so that we may assess the impact on members.”
